Met deze Soulmates, of te wel boezemvrienden, heeft Waselius een diepe verwantschap, op het gebied van vriendschap, liefde, intimiteit, spiritualiteit, maar vooral creativiteit. Links zien jullie ‘Kozma, dat betekent ‘decoratie. Hij houdt Waselius in de gaten of hij voldoende decoratie in de afbeeldingen verwerkt. Rechts is ‘Damianos’, de bedwinger. Beide beelden houden hem tijdens mijn voortgang alles goed in de gaten.
Wat ik gezien heb, zijn de wisselende uitdrukkingen van deze beelden. Hier heb ik schetsen van gemaakt. Toen Sneezy vertelde dat hij Damianos heel aardig vond, glimlachte hij naar hem. Dat kon Kozma niet uitstaan, draaide een klein stukje naar naar rechts en stak zijn tong lang uit naar Sneezy.
Niet alleen ik, maar ook mijn reisvrienden zagen wel degelijk dat deze 'soulmates' emoties hebben! Dat heb ik snel vastgelegd!

In this 'wisecracks' I want to tell something more about these porcelain statues. These images are from Greece. As a precaution, they have been brought to safety for attacks by the Romans. They hung on the wall of the Delphi Oracle. This is how they ended up here in the Abbey. Waselius found them and build a relationship of trust with them.
With these Soulmates, or bosom friends, Waselius has a deep relationship, in terms of friendship, love, intimacy, spirituality, but especially creativity. What I have seen are the changing expressions of these images. I made sketches of this. When Sneezy said he liked Damianos very much, he smiled at him. Kozma couldn't stand that, turned a little to the right and stuck his tongue out for Sneezy.
Not only me, but also my travel friends saw that these 'soul mates' have emotions! I quickly captured that!
